Bioplasty
Bioplasty is considered “the Plastic of the third Millenium…”
It is the art of sculpting and modeling the body, in which talent and creativity applied to details make the difference: It is reconstructive surgery
Bioplasty, a new vision of the future
It has been scientifically demonstrated that the cause of the facial flabbiness that appears with the passing of time, mainly in cheekbones and the line of the jaw, is mostly due to the loss of bone volume, and not, as it was generally thought as an effect of the gravity that makes soft tissues to loose upholding. Besides, the retraction of the dental arch and gums contributes to this effect, that becomes even worse with the losing of teeth. Bioplasty helps gaining a more interesting and seductive look, as it gives back the lost volume in these facial structures by making the tissues to raise and replace them. By providing major volume to cheekbones, the face acquires a greater harmony and the “blush” effect that gives the face an appearance of more upholding in eyelids and eyebrows. Projecting the line and angle of the jaw suits the face in general giving it a touch of beauty by accentuating the bordering line between face and neck. This also contributes to the “blush” effect that can be observed in known and admired faces of many movie stars. This is one of the effect reached by Bioplasty
By coincidence, esthetic related medical studies have proved that faces considered beautiful or interesting, present well defined cheekbones and line of the jaw. Artists renowned by their attractiveness as Michelle Pfeiffer and Brad Pitt, show these natural characteristics.

Young faces not endowed by nature with these attributes can now be benefited by Bioplasty, because it can give the necessary projection to cheekbones and the line of the jaw so that they may have that seductive aspect denied by nature. Beauty, indeed, has become democratic though bioplasty.
We are intelligent beings, so, why not use our intelligence in order to transform ourselves in more attractive persons and thus, excel among those that are around us in our family or in our place of work.
Bioplasty reconstructive surgery has been successfully used in the correction of defects that have been specially difficult to be treated by means of the traditional plastic surgery, defects that if not adequately treated, can cause social rejection, with the consequent psychological damages, that no aesthetic surgery could correct afterwards.
It is important to point out that Bioplasty is not a simple esthetic refilling in superficial skin tissues. Bioplasty reconstructive surgery is applied deeply under the facial muscles, and thus it is these muscles and not the implanted substances the ones in charge of giving to the face its new natural appearance. It is important to point out this fact because a simple refilling woud only give to the face that “amassed” aspect which is so feared by patients.

Another reason that contributes to the success of Bioplaty in esthetic medicine today is the use of polimetilmetacrilate (PMMA) a biomaterial, that scientific studies have proved to be safe. This material has been utilized in over two million people, during a period of more than ten years. PMMA is a biomaterial approved by the US Food and Drug Administration(FDA) under the trademark of Artefill ®.
What is Bioplasty?
Bioplasty reconstructive surgery is defined as a non surgical plastic procedure which is done with no cuts through implants of biomaterials into deep anatomical layers employing a minimally aggressive process.
In a plain language, Bioplasty is an implant of biomaterials which are compatible with the human body, and employed for adding more volume to some areas of the face or the body. These are non toxic substances that causes no allergy or rejection. They are deeply implanted through a small orifice in the skin, and it is performed without cuts or stitches, using microcanulae, a kind of needles but with a round tip that causes no lesion to the blood vessels or nerves. Everything is done using local anesthesia, in the own physician’s office, having the possibility of following the procedure step by step by means of a mirror. The result can be seen immediately without the need of countless sessions.
This technique can be applied to men and women in order to create lines and angles of beauty, enhance beauty, recuperate the youthful aspect of a aged face or improve the result of a former plastic surgery.
Biomaterial utilized in Bioplasty
The Polimetilmetacrilate (PMMA) was discovered in Germany in 1902, by a the chemist O. Röhm and it was patented in 1928. It was used for the first time in the health area in 1936. It has been intensively utilized since then in a variety of medical and odontological products.
There is a thirty years old history of the use of polimetilmetacrilate as bone cement, knee implants, intraocular implants. And for more than ten years it has been used as injecting implant in more than two million patients with stability, excellent results and a minimum of complications
The first use, as an injecting product for tissue increase was performed in 1989 by G. Lemperle and his assistants.
Today the Polimetilmetacrilate or PMMA is a biomaterial approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the trademark Artefill ®.

Characteristics of Polimetilmetacrilate (PMMA)
How does PMMA act?
In Bioplasty, we use selected polimetilmetacrilate microspheres that do not vary in size according to an ideal known pattern and they are suspended in a vehicle of programmed viscosity.
The PMMA spheres are purified and selected, they have a standard size, measured by laser sweeping. These spheres are larger than a macrofague, and thus they are not fagocitated ( they do not migrate, do not change of place)
The gel used as a vehicle is absorbed and eliminated, leaving space for a controlled inflammatory reaction that ends by filling its place with collagen. This collagen fixes the biomaterial in its implanted place and makes it impossible to migrate.
Why is it better to use Bioplasty?
The best fact of this new technology is that it solves in a simple way some of the problems of esthetic medicine, which, otherwise, were very difficult to solve through conventional methods, as the cases caused by poliomyelitis, AIDS, and facial atrophy
Bioplasty is becoming to be considered “The Plastic of the Third Millenium”. It is a revolutionary technology developed in Brazil and which is rapidly and successfully extending to the whole world.
With Bioplasty a person’s appearance can greatly be improved. It can make a beautiful woman even more beautiful
Through bioplasty it is possible to make a body to recover the volume it had lost because of aging, providing it a very natural youthful look by enhancing the balance of volumes of the human figure, thus offering it equilibrium and beauty.

Today, through Bioplasty and Nacul’s nasal suspensor technique, around the 95% of the plastic interventions of the nose are carried out without surgery.
According to Dr. Nacul (creator of this technique), Bioplasty, besides rejuvenating and providing beauty, retards the process of aging through the sustaining generated at muscular level.
Dr. Guido Spadafora explains that Bioplasty, because it is a procedure that utilizes an implanting material (micro prosthesis), that is applied into deep levels (under the muscular area), requires caution of the patients. He, recommends that Bioplasty be applied only by competent medical professionals, with great experience in the use and the applying of these techniques. In order to obtain the best results, a profound knowledge of the human anatomy from the medical as well as from the esthetic point of view is required.
Bioplasty is being applied in other areas as: anti-aging medicine, odontology, andrology, gynecology , otorrinolaringology, and urology.
Advantages in the use of Bioplasty
Why having a Bioplasty?
Because it improves our image before others. It not only contributes to greatly enrich our own self esteem, but it also allows us to excel in our social and professional world.

Bioplasty helps to enhance our appearance , allows to have a better personal projection, gives us self assurance, makes us more interesting persons, and let us to feel more optimistic before life.
Beauty and a prolonged youthful appearance are now a reality through Bioplasty.
In what regions of the body can Bioplasty be applied?
Bioplasty can be applied in several parts of the human anatomy. In the face: in the cheeks, the chin, the nose, the lips, the jaw line, the contour of the face. In the body: hands, the gluteous area, male and female external genitals.
Before each bioplasty operation, the physician must perform a careful individual analysis of each person’s physiognomy, integrally evaluating the whole of the facial or bodily features to be treated.
Explanatory note:
It is important to communicate to any person interested in a process of Bioplasty that most of the interventions can be performed in one consult, nevertheless, some cases will require more than one session in order to completing the results. After several weeks and according to the pertinent evaluation of each patient and his or her particular evolution, sometimes, it is necessary to have a new retouching Bioplasty for reaching the desired results. In these cases, as it is necessary the use of some amount of substances and specific material, an additional cost will be charge for every retouching.
