It is one of the most frequent interventions of aesthetic surgery and it can be carried out in any part of the body where there is a very visible scar. Scars caused by acne can be also treated through a method called subcision (one of the most efficient methods), which is carried out with local anesthesia and it is ambulatory. This scar correction is performed in such a way that the new furrows created by the surgery are parallel to the normal face furrows and thus they are better dissimulated. These are more noticeable when they are in contraposition to the natural furrows of the face. As a matter of fact, very few patients ask for a scar correction when the scars are in favor of the facial furrows.
